What are we doing?
MATH—Rounding fractions, Least common multiple, adding and subtracting fractions
READING—“Exploding Ants”, author’s purpose and using graphic sources
ENGLISH—possessive pronouns
SPELLING—Unit 4 week 3 “Exploding Ants”- Words went home last Thursday. This will be a written test. Words will not be given in the same order as they appear on the sheet. Students will have to know which spelling I want based on how the word is used in the sentence.
SCIENCE—Science spin, start a new chapter on the planets.
S.S.—Finish posters and be ready to present on Thursday. Weekly Reader
OTHER NOTES: Extra credit this week--Reading packet “Living with Lions” Students need to be working on their AR goal of 10pts which is due at the end of the quarter in March. This assignment will be worth 100pts. Earn 10+pts=100%, 9pts=90%, 8 pts=80% …..
OTHER NOTES: We will begin working on our science fair projects today. Students can begin working on them at home after tomorrow. Students need to take good notes on what they are doing. Measurements should be taken if needed for graphing. Pictures are also nice, but not necessary. We will start working on our posters next week. Feb. 21st will be “Donuts for Dad” day at the school. Please mark this on your calendars. We will be getting an accurate count of those who will be coming later on.
VALENTINE’S DAY PARTY will be on Feb. 14th. Lunch Committee will be Joey, Brook, Pamela, and Mrs. Purdy.
No students (for extra help) or staff will be in the building on Friday, Feb. 3. There is an inservice at Grant Deuel that day.
